There was no there way to say it! See, growing up hearing all the talk, one would have believe women naturally smell fishy. I mean let's be real, vagina has become synonymous with TUNA!!
As young women grow up we are also bombarded with "scented" products - which further reinforces the notion that our stuff just naturally smells. Heck, girls are BRAGGING about smelling like "water" - now...let's be REAL - we are humans, even tears don't smell like WATER.
However, there should NOT be a smell. I've taught my daughters early on to sniff their underwear and KNOW THEIR SCENT! This is ESSENTIAL for detecting a issue...even a mild one.
Douches ARE NOT NATURAL, NOT NEEDED and NOT HEALTHY.
If there is a odor that is even slightly offensive to you...THERE'S PROBABLY AN INFECTION. Maybe not a disease, but more than likely an infection.

Exactly, I had this talk with my 13 year old son because it came up with our talks about promiscuity & types of girls that would be less of a risk factor. The topic was std's and I told him about bv (bacterial vaginosis- for those that don't know the nickname) Sometimes that you may not notice it until you have sex & that it was an imbalance in the vagina. Too many sexual partners can cause this as well as douching etc. The guys need to be aware of these things as well.
