I love my brothas and I love my people but you know what really PISSES me off? Whenever the conversation comes up about US, MEN, stepping up taking back our authority and BUILDING THESE FAMILIES... whenever the conversation turns to SUPPORTING OUR WOMEN we want to pull out "the black woman is goddess" as if the black MAN is not created to be gods of this earth! WE were put in charge of protecting and taking care of our women and EVERYTHING ELSE!
When it's time to take responsibility we drop the ball and kick it to the woman we let this oppression fool us out of our crowns.
I'm not saying that women aren't important but OUR WOMEN ARE TIRED! read their threads! They don't trust us to lead our families. They don't trust us to raise our kids. And it's not hard to see why. When it comes time to BE gods, we want it to be 50/50 They've been carrying the load since slavery BY THEMSELVES
They didn't ask us to take 50% of it, they just did it!
It's time man. We gotta stop being scared of our own greatness. We gotta be OK with taking on 100% of the burden of our nation. Trust me, when our women trust us again, they won't have a problem HELPING or SUBMITTING. They'll actually love it (ask my wife) but WE gotta trust us.
This ain't a diss song. I been there too. I didn't think I could do it either. But the work gotta be done. RESPONSIBILITY is the most important word known to MAN.

There are plenty of men everyday who are stepping up to the plate. Don't believe the hype. It is the same false narrative that people spread about incarcerated black men vs educated black men. There are plenty of good fathers, husbands, friends, brothers, and leaders who are black and do their best everyday to uplift, enlighten, and encourage the black community. As with any other group, stereotypes are formed when it suits the opinion of the person or persons who wish to sway minds or gain brownie points among a particular constituate. Are there bad guys who perpetuate these sterotypes? Absolutly. But there are far more decent Men out there than we are given credit for. If you feel there needs to be a change around your particular area or circle of brothers then be that change and lead by example. But you are doing a disservice to us by buying into the negativity. Sinceryly- a good black man
