why does it seem like women preach to each other "you dont need no man!!!" but for men we dont beat those kinds of thoughts into each others head.

Because you don't need to put those type of thoughts in your head. You're the dominant figure. You don't need reassurance about what you do or don't need.
As for women, or at least in my opinion, its always gonna be a battle over control and its over our own minds and bodies. We say that we don't need men because we want to be independent enough to rule over our own lives instead of being seen as an object or being dominated over. I would say for most of us, its not that we don't "need" you, its the idea of having a man dominate over your life that is undesirable.
Just my two cents though....
