Everyone has a type in relationships. Tall, short, narrow or wide. We like what we like. But as life continues to deal you 'nightmares' in relationships do you still continue to hold on to that type or do you change your outlook? The person with limited ability to change usually will be lonely. The person with the ability to change usually ends up in a better, happier situation. And sometimes you have to grow out of you limited vision. So are you with or did you marry your type?

I'm single. But as I've dated what I considered to be "my type" & remained single along the way. I've learned to look at the lesson I learned from the experience as well as look outside of the situation/experience & judge myself as well. Really ask myself is it something I'm doing ? Or allowing that's not getting me the results I want & go from there. My last relationship was with a person I wouldn't have even really considered but ended up being with that person 3 yrs. So I try not to look at "what I desire" more so than "what I need" so until I run into what I need I'll remain single & continue to work on myself

If you know why it is that you are attracted to a certain type then you can realize if that is really what you need and what role they will be in your life. The type man I was attracted to marry is different than my homeboys. I did marry my type.

I am currently single. However, I have not dated my actual type, which is why I think i'm still single LOL
I have settled when it comes to dating, and I honestly believe if I would have been patient in the past, and waited for what I KNEW I deserved instead of going for what was available and attracted to me, then I would have had more successful relationships and would probably be happily married to "my type" by now.
Only time will tell, as I patiently wait for "my type."
