Good Morning People! Okay, so I need some advice on healthier eating habits and incorporating better foods into my diet. My goal is to become a vegetarian. I love everything that you basically shouldn't and whenever I try to cut down my intake or shy away from those foods, I can never stick with it (Cheese, bread, pasta, snacks ). I recently graduated from college and moved back in my hometown with my family who does not really care about what they are consuming; my Grandmother died at 50 years young in her sleep from too much weight on her chest. All the women in my family are a little bigger and the older I get I feel more and more paranoid about what i'm eating. Any and all tips would be GREAT as i'm just looking for a place to start, I don't want to be complacent with my fears and let them overrun me. I eat fish and chicken a lot, beef sometimes, pork never. I don't eat fast food majority of the time (occasional pizza...) I try to eat plain ol boiled eggs in the morning for protein with some type of fruit. As the day progresses though is whats troubling for me. The smaller portions, fruits, salads, and other things that I TRY to eat throughout the day always leave me hungry so when I do get home, I go back and eat even more. I've always been told the "diet, diet, diet" thing but that doesn't work for me, so what should I do because that's really all I know...

Google is a great place to start... www.choosemyplate.gov/ - The new food pyramid... Cut out meats - Consume turkey, chicken and fish if you must have meats... and dairy... Almond or coconut milk is a great alternative... Most foods today are GMOs so you really have to look into where the food you consuming is coming from... Try to shop local small (blacc if you can) businesses... Those are your best bets for getting real foods...

First is don't be a hard judge on self if you cave in at the beginning because discipline takes time.Find alternatives before you go cold turkey.
Im still in transition and I find breakfast the hardest because i am trying to shy away from eggs but thats my staple go tom until i find somethinf else that is it. I like chinese food so i learned to make my cleaner version of veggie lo mien which my daughter loves! Its a process but take each meal in stride.
Shop farmer market and fresh is better. Best if you grow your own. Good luck queen
