I always recommend coldest winter ever... I started reading the autobiography of Malcolm X, and I was enjoying it but someone stole my book bag and coincidentally my book was in it (Who would have thought)... If you cant find any books to read you can always find a topic to research... Either way you get to stimulate your mind queen... Both of those are great books. I have both in my personal library.

John Oliver Killens "And Then We Heard The Thunder" This book right here rocked my intellect. Very powerful use of language by Mr. Killens to give vitality to black military folks' humanity. An excellent read.
