I've heard about this and I get what Amber Rose is doing, which I think is great. But alot people are discrediting her because of her past, I guess. Its like that meme that's floating around. The one with one naked black woman being praised as a queen and another naked black woman being called a whore. Amber does have a past(just like everyone else does), but I still appreciate that she is down for trying to uplift women and let women know its OK to explore what you like and what you don't like when it comes to sex.
I feel like women should be free to explore their sexuality and not be condemned for it, but I also think that if woman wants to keep her goodies locked up, she shouldn't be teased about it either. Basically do what the hell you want and stay out of people's bedroom business, unless your in the bedroom too lol.

I'm not a fan of the delivery. I don't even 100% agree with the message but I respect people's opinions. I think women, black women in particular have been sexualized enough. I honestly don't feel that being overtly sexual and having our bodies overly exposed is part of our nature. I also feel like while some women can and will participate in this "slut walk", black women should have their focus and activism geared towards more urgent issues in our community.

I honestly don't feel that being overtly sexual and having our bodies overly exposed is part of our nature. I respect your opinion, but I disagree... Everything in nature is naked except us... Our ancestors walked around barely clothed... We are children of the sun, I feel we should expose as much of us to it as possible... Our ancestors also revered the phallus... White supremacy has us feeling otherwise these days...What is more urgent then rape awareness? 20% of American women are raped in their lifetime of that 40% are under age (Source) I never knew it was such an epidemic... If this is what is being reported, imagine how bad it really is...
Some woman are comfortable with being sexual... In my experience promiscuous women take better care of their bodies and have safer sex...

callmemansa83 We are definitely not in the society of our ancestors. There are many cultures that traditional walked around barely clothed, but their mindset is very different than ours today in this white washed, over sexualized American culture. White supremacy has women so focused on being a "proud slut" that they forget that they aren't even respected or taken seriously. This world we live in today is all a game...it's about knowing how to play the game. It's about recognizing distractions and discarding them. To me, there is a lot that's more urgent...I don't do statistics because the sources are usually skewed for the benefit of an article. The state of black America is more urgent to me. I know women that have been raped and I too have been a victim of sexual misconduct so I understand...but right now, our livelihoods as a people should be a focus or else we won't have a pussy to throw around lol. And there's nothing wrong with being sexual but why do you need to parade through the streets chanting about your pussy. Parade through the streets and chant about the school to prison pipeline...chant about the destruction of the black family unit...chant about the corrupted racist institutions that exist in this country...but pussy...c'mon, we are so much more than that.

callmemansa83 We are definitely not in the society of our ancestors. There are many cultures that traditional walked around barely clothed, but their mindset is very different than ours today in this white washed, over sexualized American culture. Lol... I wish you would apply this way of thinking to your beliefs on corporal punishment... And the problem is not in the woman, the problem is in the fact she isn't being respected or taken seriously (Even by other woman which is sad... Just another form of self hate... We need to learn to love unconditionally!!!)It not a game... People thinking life is a game is why we are losing so many lives all over this country... People need to wake up stop playing... When people stop treating life like a game is when they will recognize distractions and discard them... I feel where you are coming from but going to college to get a degree to perpetuate this white supremacy lifestyle and system we are trapped in is more of a distraction in my book... As is working for these corrupt corporations...The state of blacc america depends on the state of our women... Our woman are being oppressed and are crying out for help, and we sit here and degrade them instead of just accepting that is what is important to them and letting them elevate through their own means and lifestyles... These woman's livelihood depends on being able to live how they want without the fear of rape or molestation... They treat alligators better in that category... I see "do not molest the alligators" signs all over Florida... Havent seen one "Do not molest eachother" sign... Why not? Pussy is a billion dollar industry... Blacc own strip clubs are one of the best ways we have learned to keep the blacc dollar circulating in the blacc community... A stripper should be able to entertain without fear of getting kidnapped or raped every night...
Idk this is just how I feel... I truly love blacc woman...

I respect your opinion, and I agree that the state of black women is the state of black people...I just don't agree that our focus should be in the direction of a slut walk. To me, it's all about delivery. There is a better way to address that issue. And when I say "game" not literally...but in order to make the impact that we need to make you have to know how to maneuver the system or the system will stop you, lock you up, or kill you. Just like monopoly is a game but the concept is very real. And don't confuse "working for" with "working within"....one of the best ways to infiltrate a system is to seemingly become apart of it...as long as you keep your conscious mind you can be impactful. I'm still going to be against corporal punishment lol we should be tired of hitting each other... callmemansa83

I feel we need to work toward removing our self from the system instead of learning how to better maneuver it... /shrug

I agree. But somebody has to know how it operates...or else we will always be stuck in it.
