As wives/ex wives we've all faced our own set of challenges, however some of us face very unique challenges like; Navy wives, and wives of police, fireman, doctors, entrepreneurs, athletes, etc. Personally I was a Navy wife for 12 years and I'll discuss the pros and cons of that experience below. If your husband/exhusband has/had a job that comes with extenuating circumstances please share so our sisters can benefit from this important wisdom.

Being in a relationship where your partner works out of town/state can be rough. Your left with all the problems & issues with the children & manging the household, to feel as if you don't get enough support when they are present. It's almost as if you your in a long distance relationship. Sometimes when you are good at multitasking & managing, people take it for granted and you just want a break.

It's tough to be ever marrying a creative artist type. My ex had a full time job working for a banking company during the day. But then he was this struggling graphic designer and hip-hop artist. I'm like ok cool but he'll have some balance. NO!! Free time writing or designing then I'm thinking ok get paid for this then. I needed to see his vision and understand before we were married. I'm over it. I enjoy musicians and overall artists but we need an understanding about time management, family, dates, traveling...unconventional ways to maintain a healthy bond. It won't be a punch the clock 9-5 and home for dinner type situation everyday.
