If love is love, is the "day" really important?
It seems like everyone wants to be a "bridezilla" nowadays. It's strange. Our ancestors married, and celebrated their love with or without the extras.
Modern marriage is overshadowed by high wedding receipts and even higher rates of separation.
Are we rushing into a one day event and not paying attention to the life long commitment that follows? Or is it so easy to end it all that we don't care anymore?
Do you think the wedding day is important? Would you invest as much money in the MARRIAGE as you do in the wedding day?

I personally do not believe the wedding day is important. I have been engaged for a little over a year now and I never think about the wedding. Many people take this as me not being ready for marriage, however, I just don't care about the ceremony.
I have friends who have taken engagement pictures and have had engagement parties and I have no desire to do any of that lol. It all seems unnecessary to me.

That's totally fine paris . Dont let people pressure you into what they "think" it should be like. Marriage is special, between the two of you and your chosen witnesses. Make it meaningful to you.
And congratulations on your engagement love! We love to see love growing!
